Hydrants

COURSE OVERVIEW

Fire Hydrants are one of the few parts of a water system visible to the public, so keeping them well maintained can help a water utility project a good public image. Hydrants are so seldom used for fighting fires in smaller towns that it is easy to forget how important it is to keep them well maintained for quick and reliable service when needed. A hydrant that does not operate properly when it is actually needed, can result in serious loss of life and property. (Attendees are asked to dress for outdoor active work.)
