Practices and Procedures for Water Distribution Systems

COURSE OVERVIEW

Operating and maintaining a water distribution system is an involved process. The two main objectives are to: (1) maintain water quality from the point of entry into the distribution system to the point of use and (2) maintain adequate pressure and deliver adequate flow to satisfy customer demands and protect from fire losses. This course will also discuss water service lines.

COURSE OUTLINE

Maintaining water quality. Maintaining flow and pressure. Water services. Appendices: water quality, repairing breaks, biofilm control, locating lines, leak detection and water loss control. Quiz.
