COURSE OVERVIEW

This course provides an overview of the various pipe materials, pipe joints and their applications. The course will discuss the procedures for the safe handling and shipment of pipe materials as well as the procedures for excavation and the laying of pipe.

COURSE OUTLINE

Types of pipe materials. Pipe shipment and handling. Excavation and laying pipe. Appendices: trenching safety, repairing line breaks, biofilm control in distribution systems. Quiz.
